Bus, Bike, & Light Rail

Getting to Downtown Pittsburgh is easy via public transit. Plan your trip using the Port Authority’s Trip Planner, or utilize POGOH’s bike share system and bike lane network to ride into town.

Don’t forget: once you’re Downtown, the Light Rail free fare zone can get you from Downtown to the North Shore quickly and for free.

Planning on driving?

If you are driving, park towards the edges of Downtown to make arriving and exiting easier on your group without getting stuck in traffic. Check ParkPGH.org for real-time parking garage availability, and rest assured that Downtown is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the city.

Wheelchair Access:
Oktoberfest is an outdoor event. The footprint is fully paved and navigable for those with mobility needs. We encourage patrons who require mobility assistance to utilize personal forms of transportation, such as wheelchairs and scooters. We do not provide wheelchair / scooter services or rentals.

Restrooms:
Every restroom area within the event footprint is equipped with ADA-compliant bathrooms to accommodate all guests.

Guide Dogs:
Guide dogs and service animals are welcome throughout the event. Please ensure your service animal is easily identifiable.

Parking:
Accessible parking is available at all nearby garages, providing convenient access to the event area.

Vendor and Stage Areas:
All vendor areas and stage viewing areas are wheelchair accessible, ensuring that all attendees can access all amenities on the footprint.

How much does it cost?

General admission to the event is free. Certain activities require the purchase of tickets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, along with alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and older.

What’s happening?

Oktoberfest Pittsburgh will feature a biergarten and karneval activities, along with live music, competitions, food and drink vendors. A detailed schedule of activities is coming soon.

Is this a family-friendly event?

Yes! All ages are welcome. During the weekends, there will be a KinderPlay area with activities for little ones.

Can anyone ride the Ferris Wheel?

We welcome riders of all ages! However, please review our rider rules and requirements before purchasing your tickets. Riders must be at least 42” tall to ride.

Is this a cashless event?

Oktoberfest Pittsburgh is primarily cashless to ensure a smoother and more secure customer experience. We accept all major credit cards, tap to pay, Paypal and Venmo.  Limited cash registers will be available at each location for those who are unable to use an alternative payment method. 

Are pets allowed?

Pets and guide animals are welcome. Please keep your furry friend on a leash.
