Oktoberfest Pittsburgh Returns in New Location
(Sept. 3, 2025) – O’zapft is! Oktoberfest is returning to Downtown Pittsburgh!
Following the success of its inaugural event, Oktoberfest Pittsburgh is back for a second year, bringing an even bigger and better celebration of German culture, food, music and community. This year’s celebration will once again deliver a vibrant Bavarian experience, complete with authentic cuisine, live entertainment and plenty of beer.
Oktoberfest Pittsburgh will run for 11 days, from October 2nd to October 12th, with no days off. Due to Market Square’s ongoing redevelopment, the event will be held at Fort Duquesne Boulevard, utilizing the westbound roadway from Stanwix Street over to 7th Street and incorporating the 6th Street Bridge.
“Oktoberfest Pittsburgh has quickly become one of Downtown’s most anticipated celebrations, and we’re thrilled to see it return for a second year,” said Jeremy Waldrup, President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. “Bringing German culture, music and tradition to Downtown offers a unique experience for residents and visitors alike, and also energizes local businesses while showcasing the vibrancy of our city.’”
In true Bavarian tradition, this year’s Oktoberfest will feature an array of family-friendly activities and attractions designed to bring the spirit of Munich to Pittsburgh. With lively music performances on the main stage, there will be no shortage of ways to celebrate. Inside the festival tent, guests can explore authentic merchandise, raise a beer stein and savor classic Bavarian cuisine like bratwurst and pretzels and more.
Beyond the food and drinking festivities, festivalgoers can also immerse themselves in German-inspired activities for all ages. Highlights include the ever-popular Stein Holding, as well as an array of Karneval games. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Oompah band and Bavarian-style musicians will be filling the air with accordion melodies and lively polka tunes sure to amuse and delight audiences of all ages.
General admission to the event is free, though certain activities require the purchase of tickets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, along with alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and older.
